We tailored this evening jacket with a single-button front and a traditional notch lapel. The cloth blends viscose, polyester, and a touch of spandex across a light purple paisley weave. It ships as a single jacket with a black bow tie packed alongside.

Notch lapel front

The single-button closure fastens low to reveal the shirt front, framed by a standard stepped notch lapel. Straight flap pockets sit at the hips, balanced by a welt breast pocket for a pocket square.

Paisley jacquard cloth

The woven shell uses 56.7 percent viscose for softness, 40.3 percent polyester for body, and 3 percent spandex for slight give. The light purple floral pattern runs across the entire body and sleeves with a clean surface finish.

Interior construction

Inside, a smooth full lining protects the embroidery threads from catching against your dress shirt. Two interior breast pockets are set into the lining to hold small essentials securely during evening events.

Pressing and care

Send this piece out to a dry cleaner when it needs refreshing. You can press the cloth between outings using a cool iron over a cotton cloth to protect the raised floral weave.

What black tie asks of a jacket

The invitation names the room before you walk into it. Black tie expects a dinner jacket with a shawl collar, matched trousers, a white shirt, and a bow tie. We cut our formal garments in polyester blend cloth so the front keeps its line through dinner and late seating.
