We cut this dinner jacket from a dark blue paisley cloth with a clean notch lapel and a single front button. The blend adds viscose for drape and a little spandex for give across the shoulders. It comes with a black bow tie, sold as an individual jacket rather than a full suit.

Paisley pattern cloth

Woven from 56.7% viscose, 40.3% polyester, and 3% spandex. The blend holds a sharp press across the chest while remaining pliable through the arms and back.

Single button stance

A low single-button closure fastens the front beneath standard notch lapels. It leaves plenty of room for a white dress shirt and evening studs.

Lining and pocketing

Fully lined throughout with reinforced interior seams. We put a welt pocket on the chest, two flap pockets at the hips, and two utility pockets inside the chest.

Accessory and care

We include a black bow tie in the package. Send the jacket out for professional dry cleaning when needed and press with a cool iron.

What black tie asks of a jacket

The invitation names the room before you walk into it. Black tie expects a dinner jacket with a shawl collar, matched trousers, a white shirt, and a bow tie. We cut our formal garments in polyester blend cloth so the front keeps its line through dinner and late seating.
