About the cutting room
YND cuts ready to wear tailoring: suit sets, single blazers, dinner jackets, dashiki sets and formal wear scaled for boys. This page says what the rail holds and how the buying actually works, because the second part surprises people.
What is on the rail
There are 78 pieces here, sorted into 7 sections. 23 of them are three piece sets with a waistcoat cut from the same cloth, 17 are two piece sets, 4 are five piece sets scaled for boys, and 34 are single pieces meant to go with something you already own.
How we sort things
Not by season. A jacket does not know what month it is. We sort by what turns up in the box and by how the lapel is shaped, because those two answers decide most of what a piece can be worn to. The lapel table on the front page lays out the difference between a notch, a shawl and a peak in plain words.
Where the buying happens
Every buy button on this site hands you over to our retail partner. They hold the stock, take the payment and send the parcel. We never see your card, your address or your order, which is also why we cannot look any of it up for you afterwards.
What this shop is not
There is no counter to walk up to and nothing here to try on. Sizing comes from the chart on the listing at our retail partner, measured against a jacket that already fits you. We describe how a cut sits. We cannot measure you through a screen.
